Conflict and Drama
Whilst Riik is perfectly suited for conflict such as war and combat, the same cannot be said for interpersonal drama. They can of course function in darker plots quite successfully - and even be pushed outside their comfort zone - although too much social pressure could make for slow progress when plot demands a practical resolution.
Riik is equal parts combat oriented as they are oriented toward other practical dilemmas, such as fleeing, operating spacecraft under pressure, solving magic puzzles, etc. Thus for a variety of action-based conflict scenarios, Riik can work just fine. That's not to say they are ill-suited toward more soft slice-of-life-ish situations (they can in fact work just fine in such cases), but simply that there is no trouble placing them in an action-filled plot.
Ultimately, however, social drama can be difficult to pull off with Riik involved, as many social problems simply do not fit into their life, whilst others can be so debilitating that the result will likely not really get anywhere. Perhaps the only real scenario that would work for them is being forced to live together with someone who struggles to tolerate their behavioural tendencies and they have to get along to get by; but other than that, it is difficult to find a drama-based scenario that fits their personality, needs and general nature. -
